Hylē Optimal Hydration
Ingredients have been carefully crafted to yield a flavor profile that isn't too sweet, salty, or tart. Flavors are on the lighter side to enable athletes to concentrate to 3+ servings per bottle, if desired, without being overpowering. The result is a smooth drink that goes down easy and tastes great mile after mile.
Hylē Hydration Endurance Fuel is designed to be slightly hypotonic -- ~250 mOsm/L when mixed to 2 servings per 20 oz -- to enable rapid gastric emptying. Energy and nutrients will get into your blood stream faster, and the likelihood of gut distress is reduced.
Carbohydrates
Each serving contains 100 Calories in a 4:1 blend of maltodextrin and fructose, to reduce the likelihood of stomach distress during longer efforts, and to ensure your drink is never too syrupy or sweet.
Electrolytes
The electrolyte profile mimics endurance athlete sweat concentrations, threading the needle between typical female and male sweat profiles.
270mg Sodium
80mg Potassium
50mg Calcium
25mg Magnesium
310mg Chloride
Amino Acids
Amino Acids, the building blocks of muscle protein, are included to help delay muscle fatigue, reduce soreness, and jump start the recovery process.
During longer efforts, you are effectively feeding your muscles with as much BCAAs and Glutamine as is commonly found in protein-packed recovery products!
400mg Branched-Chain Amino Acids in a 2:1:1 ratio of Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine
375mg Glutamine
A small amount of Theanine (25mg) is also included to improve mental focus.

Endurance Fuel FAQs
How should I use Endurance Fuel?
We recommend consuming 2 to 3 servings (200-300calories) of powdered drink mix per hour of activity. Mix with 16-24oz (500-700ml) of water.
When does Endurance Fuel go bad?
Once mixed, it is recommended you consume within 24 hours. If stored in a fridge or cooler, expect Hylē Hydration to stay fresh for 5 days.
How much is 1 serving?
Each serving of Endurance Fuel is 28g and contains exactly 100 calories. Our bags come with a 63cc scoop, which is 1/4 cup (well, technically 0.266 cups, but close enough).
What allergens are in Endurance Fuel?
None! Hylē Hydration Endurance Fuel is vegan, gluten free, soy and dairy free, and contains no artificial sweeteners or colors.
Where are your ingredients sourced?
An overwhelming majority of our ingredients come from Midwest manufacturers. All ingredients are purchased from US-based companies.
Why do you use Monk Fruit?
Hylē Hydration Endurance Fuel contains a low amount of added sugar, which means there is little to no sweetness imparted from our carbohydrate sources. Other companies that use maltodextrin commonly add stevia, erythritol, or aspartame to improve sweetness, but many people do not enjoy the chemical flavor of these additives, and sugar alcohols such as erythritol can even cause gastric distress. To provide sweetness to our products we add a very small amount of monk fruit extract, a natural sweetener with a refreshing natural flavor.
Why does Endurance Fuel contain Amino Acids?
Muscle tissue begins to break down after 3-4 hours of continued use. Amino acids are the building blocks of muscle protein, and a steady supply of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) and glutamine can help delay muscle fatigue, offset muscle tissue breakdown, and jump start the recovery process.
Why does Endurance Fuel contain Theanine?
Studies indicate that theanine may help regulate mood and mental clarity, particularly during exercise. When consumed with caffeine, it is also known to help prevent the caffeine jitters. While theanine may not improve physical performance, it may help you stay focused during longer, more demanding efforts.
Does Endurance Fuel contain Caffeine?
We do not currently offer any flavors with added caffeine. However, we do plan to expand our lineup to include caffeinated varieties of many of our current flavors in the near future.
Where is Endurance Fuel manufactured?
We are very proud of the fact that we manufacture our nutrition products in our own dedicated facility. Unlike many other sports drink companies, we do not outsource our manufacturing, known as co-packing. This enables us to have complete control over the design, development, and production of our nutrition formulas. Moreover, this allows us to offer our products at a reasonable cost to athletes by avoiding unnecessary middle-men.
Our facility is located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Hyle Hydration truly is sports nutrition made for athletes, by athletes.
What's the deal with the foam?
So ... if you're a runner and you use hard bottles, you may have noticed a bit of foam build up, especially when your bottle is at least half empty. That's a result of the amino acids in Hylē Hydration Endurance Fuel. When liquids with amino acids or whey protein are shaken, the amino acid molecules rise to the surface, create surface tension, and form small bubbles. Every sports drink or recovery drink that contains amino acids has this problem.
Cyclists generally won't notice this as their bottles are not subjected to repeated shaking during exercise. When used with a soft flask or bladder, Endurance Fuel will produce little to no foam. When using a hard bottle, attempting to minimize the amount of air in the bottle will go a long way to reducing any foam build up due to shaking.
Is Endurance Fuel Informed Choice Certified?
Not yet, but we intend on sending off samples to Informed Choice to be tested for certification in the very near future. We have every expectation of being certified.
